Items Technologies today announced the release of PCI Hybrid TV Tuner — its newest PCI TV/video-capture card
　　— which together with PCI Hybrid TV Tuner comprises a full line of TV cards that turn PCs into fully-functional desktop
　　multimedia systems.

　　The new PCI Hybrid TV Tuner is the world’s first TV card to incorporate a Silicon Tuner, making PCI Hybrid TV Tuner
　　compatible with worldwide TV standards including NTSC, PAL and SECAM — and enabling users to view and record TV
　　in any country. The Silicon Tuner also provides top-quality resolution to users and significant cost savings to system
　　integrators. In addition, PCI Hybrid TV Tuner provides worldwide TV stereo decoding for systems including NiCAM, NTSC,
　　MTS, A2 and A2*. Both PCI Hybrid TV Tuner and PCI Hybrid TV Tuner ATSC provide high-quality, real-time viewing of up
　　to 125 channels of cable or broadcast TV.

　　The cards also enable users to record and watch real-time video from external sources with MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and
　　MPEG-4 formats. The cards’ user-friendly interface controls functions such as TimeShift, which enables users to record
　　any program while watching a different one; Items Scheduler, which allows scheduled recording of future programs; and
　　Multiple Channel Preview, which provides split-screen viewing of up to 25 channels at once. Both cards can capture still
　　images from video and allow users to edit and e-mail images. Both enable input from external devices in either Composite
　　Video or S-Video format and provide reception of FM radio (FM models only).
